Seventeenth Week (10/02/20 - 14/02/20)

MONDAY-ANDONI

This week we have a lot of things to do. We started the week with two exams . The first one about furniture , to see if we know the design that we are building, to see if we know the different pieces that complete our die and what is the function of this pieces. Apart of this we also make some calculus , about one of the die process.

The second exam was an English exam. Writing exam with whose theme was all of the things that you do in this couse. But we do more things apart of exams.

We continue working with CATIA, learning and practicing how to design using surfaces . Making a lot of different pieces, in many different ways, using it .

TUESDAY- OIER ZABALA

On Tuesday we started the day with Gaizka, he continued with some theory and exercises of “enbutizioa” because on Friday we have an exam.

We also review cutting and bending exercices because some of us had to recover on Friday exam. While we reviewed other, they continued with the 3 challenge doing drawing and the 3D pieces.

WEDNESDAY – ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day learning about surfaces with Julen and in the second hour, we continued doing the assembly and measuring the pieces of the mold.

After the first break, Gaizka came and continued leaning about surfaces, to do an exam on Friday.

The last hour we continued with the mold in Catia.

THURSDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day doing CATIA surfaces with Julen, and at 9.00, me and six more people we do the Speaking with Richard to the English subject.

After the first break, we continued doing the assembly and measuring the pieces of the mold.

After the second break, to finish the day, we learned new things of surfaces

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

The first hour of this Friday was a little bit different from others. The teacher from 2.CMM invited us to attend the presentation of the last challenge of his students, so we went to the events hall and we all saw a couple of teams presenting their work. They talked about the manufacturing of the pieces of the die, which is something we have also worked on, monitoring the situation of each piece.

Then from the second hour to almost the last one, we had the final exam about packing (embutición) with Gaizka. There were two different parts, one made up by hand and the other one using CATIA V5. At the same time, those who didn't pass previous exams did the recovery exam too.

Sixteenth Week (04/02/20 - 07/02/20)

TUESDAY- OIER ZABALA

On Tuesday we started the day with Gaizka, he continued with some theory and exercises of “enbutizioa”. After that at 9 o`clock we explained us with Iranzu, Nagore and Julen the 3 challenge, that which consists of making a piece of plastic by injection.

After that we started with 3 challenge doing the conceptual map that that had to end by the end of the day. Then we finished the notebook of the 2 challenge because it was for Wednesday.

Wednsday ANDONI

On Wednesday we started the classes with Julen, with him we made an exercise in the module of surfaces, to review for the exam of Monday, then with nagore we looked at the notes of each RA, and we continued measuring and making the assembly of the challenge 3, we measured the two bases of the mold, and later we added them to the mold, with iranzu we made the distribution of the questions and later we continued with the challenge where we measured the guide columns and also we joined them to the assembly.

THURSDAY - ALAIN PACHECO RUIZ

We started the day with Julen, learning a new CATIA part, Catia surfaces. We practise with two pieces, and one of that was a button of a machine.

In the second hour, we continued doing the work for the next challenge, measuring the pieces of the mould.

After the second break, we started with a new theory, factory pack. We learnt a lot of formula for do it the exercises.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

As always, we started Friday with a class of business with Iranzu, but we didn't do anything special. Then, Gaizka came and he started giving some theory about a different manufacturing process called "embutición" in Spanish. We saw some mathematical formulas and we were taught to use them in the correct way to do some exercises about this new manufacturing process.

Finally, during the last two hours, we had an exam about melting with Nagore. The main purpose of this was seeing if we had learnt something about melting during this second challenge, which of course was a lot to do with the world of melting.

Fifteenth Week (27/01/20 - 31/01/20)

TUESDAY- OIER ZABALA

On tuesday we started the day with Gaizka, he explained us some new theory and exercices, this new exercices were about drawing. Drawing is a technological process that consists of obtaining hollow pieces in the shape of a container from metal sheets.

After that we continued with 2 challenge and also with the recovery die, the second challenge was alredy finished but we have to done the notebook to print as soon as possible, and the die is going perfect but I think we will not be able to finish for the delivery day.

WEDNESDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day with Julen, learning a new part of CATIA V5 to be able to do the next work. We do two pieces, and one of that was a water tap.

After the first break,, we went to Iurreta to visit the company FUMGARBI. In this company, they melt the material, they do the molds, etc... All of that, they do by hand. They threw the material on the mold and after they clean the pieces with a special machine.

We came back to Maristak to the second break, and the rest of the day we continued doing the melting base and the report.

THURSDAY- ANDONI

On Thursday first we have had class with Gaizka, and first of all, we divided the work and we start
working, after one hour Gaizka explained how to insert the base of the die and how to join it.
After the first brake, we should have class with Iranzu but as we are late with the die
we continued with de die, but first, we finished the work that Iranzu sends, like bill of exchange,
guarantee and invoices for this Thursday.

The last 2 hours we also spend joining the base, and we speak to put overtime some afternoon after
working in the factory, to have finished the die to 8th of february.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

After having a peculiar Thursday, Friday came, and our routine in class continue in a normal way.

We spent the whole day working on the report of this second challenge, so we focus on finishing all the documents we have already created in Dropbox for then, join them all. This time, we are much more organised, so we think there's not going to be any problem with the deadline to hand in the report.

Here you'll be able to see how we have organised all the documents using Dropbox:

Apart from that, Ion Asenjo, the melting expert, came for his third time in this challenge to show us the simulations of our 3D designs, and of course, to solve us all the doubts we could have.

Fourteenth Week (20/01/20 - 24/01/20)

MONDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day with Julen. We started the drawing of the individual melting base and we finished with that at 10.

After the first break, we continued with the melting base design, doing the sprues and doing the circuit to introduce the molten metal to do the melting base.

At 11.30, we did a Kahoot with Nagore about melting. We did three and one of those we won.

After the second break, many people from the class did the English presentation about dual, robots, electric cars, etc….

TUESDAY - OIER ZABALA

On Tuesday we started the day with Gaizka, someone’s we asked him to give a hand with the recovery die. Gaizka explained us instead of using the ‘body resta’ of the awl that would be better to use ‘postizos’, consists in using treated small pieces where the awl cuts, like this the die just suffer in this piece instead of the whole plate.

After that we had class with Nagore, we done some kahoots to know how much we know about foundry. Then we continued with the challenge and with the recovery die.

WEDNESDAY - ANDONI MIGUEL

We started Wendsday working on the design of the die base with Gaizka, and what we had had to do that day was inserting the 4 plaques of the die to our design.

We continue working with CATIA V5 and an other new program that  simulates the filling of foundry objects. until the middle of the second hour when suddenly Gaizka remembered we had to move to the main room to give us a talk about empresas de Euskadi

When the talk got over, we came back to class and we continue working in our main project until 2 o'clock, even though we should have had class with Nagore the last two hours.

THURSDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

We were given a talk about the different job profiles in the second hour of the day. He was an employee of a company called AL-KO. This company is located in Abadiño, and they manufacture different types of pieces used in automotive.

Then, when the talk got over and we had a rest, we continue working on the main project. That day, we focused on making some changes to the 3D design and on putting together the press, the melting base and the die, which was the work we would have to hand in on Friday.

Simultaneously, we also had time to continue working on the business documents that had to be handed in on Friday too.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

Things didn't change so much on Friday. We spent most of the day finishing to complete the business documents, so we didn't have time enough to start working on other things such as the report, or maybe updating the 3D design.

While some teammates were working on the business documents, others were giving their bests trying to finish their CATIA V5 recovery work that would have to hand in the next week.

Al this means that next week we will have to work a lot if we want to make a good job in this second challenge.

Thirteenth Week (13/01/20 - 17/01/20)

MONDAY -Oier Zabala-

On monday when we arrived Julen started with a explanation that will help us a lot when we
have to design the foundry base. After the explanation we had to do a piece to put in practice what
he said in the explication.

Then the next hours we started designing each one his own foundry base, because on friday
we had to give each one his base.

Finally we finished the day with the english oral presentation, in my case I speaked about
my dual explaining what I do and giving my personal opinion about the dual.

TUESDAY -Oier Zabala-

On tuesday when we arrived we started the day with Gaizka, we continued doing the foundry base,
others also we advanced with the recovery die that it must to be finished to the 31st.

After the break Ion Asenjo came to explain us how a foundry base is made, how spill the broth in
the mold. He also explained the different applications he uses to know how it cools, and were can
be weaker the base.

Finally we finished the day how do we start it designing the foundry base and others doing the
recovery die.

WEDNESDAY andoni
On Wednesday we started classes with julen, from Monday we had started the challenge with another center, so we were not instead of making catia, we finished the sketches we had to deliver on Thursday, then with nagore we made a video call to decide how to finish the documentation of the sketches and how to assemble the two parts of the lathe. Also with nagore we had examination of the measuring machine, from 11:00 to 13:00.

THURSDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day at 8.00 with Julen. We continued doing the melting base design, and some people continued doing a die, to retake the first project.

At 10.00, we went to Elorrio to visit the foundry Betsaide. Nagore and Gaizka divided the class into two teams, blue and orange.

We visited three different places: the engineering place, the melting machines and a department store.

At 1.30 we went to Maristak and then, we came back home.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

Like every Friday, we had a business lesson with Iranzu, in which we continue carrying out the different documents we have to hand in the 31st of January.

Then, for three hours in a row, we work on the main project of this month, so we continue with the sketch of the melting base individually while Gaizka explained to those who didn't pass the previous project who they had to develop their retrieving work.

Finally, for the last two hours of the day, we started with the sketch design choosing process to see which one will be the one we are going to use to start developing the main project.

Twelfth Week (08/01/20 - 10/01/20)

WEDNESDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day with Julen, doing CATIA exercise to go over the Drawing CATIA part.

After that, at 9 o´clock, the teachers explain to the class the next work to do in January, melting base design and monitoring the manufacturing.

In the last two hours, we started doing Nagore melting exercises, 16 questions about melting and information about Durango melting factories, which we have to deliver the next Friday.

THURSDAY - OIER ZABALA-Andoni Miguel

On Thursday first we started with an explanation of how to do the nerves and scenes, because the scenes will be important to separate the pieces and do the drawing of exploded.

After that we started with Iranzu the explanation of the reto 2 but what must do on the subject company. Then she left us doing some works that we must deliver on next day.

Then the next ours we spend doing the two works that Nagore give us for Friday, this works must see with the next topic, foundry. The first work were some questions about foundry and the other work about the near factories that are related with foundry.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

Friday started with some explanations about different issues of business with Iranzu. She showed us how this new challenge will develop on the business subject, what different pieces of knowledge we will take on that period and which one will be her way of rating our work.

Then, when all the Iranzu's stuff got over, we carry on with the new project on our own, because Gaizka was sick and didn't come to class that day.

Instead of Gaizka, Nagore stayed at the class for a couple of hours so there was not any kind of problem with that.

Finally, for the last two hours of the day, Nagore started giving some theory about smelting, so those last ones were two hours of completely paying attention to her.

Eleventh Week (16/12/19 - 20/12/19)

Andoni MiguelMonday and tuesday

These two days are the first days of our last week before Christmas. We have to finish the notes iker Lopez and me. So with the tool holder designed, we draw the drawings of all the parts of the toolholder.
First the bases and the largest pieces and finally the small and flat pieces of the standardized elements. And after making all the plans, we put in the notes, all the notes of the subject `` Empresa ''.
After doing all this, we just wanted to print all notes. And this is more or less what we did on the sixteenth and seventeenth day.

Wednesday-Oier Zabala

When we arraived to class we done the last retouchings to the planes of the Diseinua proyect, then we started preparing the presentation that will we do tomorrow.

We also had to print the notebook, beacuse the thursday we had to deliver it and we don't want to walk with just the right time.

Finally we leave everything finished for tomorrow.

THURSDAY -  ALAIN PACHECO
The first hour we used to prepare the presentation with Salesianos Deusto and at 9
o´clock we started doing the presentations.

Iker and Andoni were the first from ACE & HAZE to making the presentation, after Iker and Andoni, it was me and the last one doing it was Oier.
After the second break, we continued monitoring the die which is going to fabricate.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

Friday 20th of December was the last day of the course of 2019, so that day was a bit special for us.

We didn't have too much work to do and besides, we were leaving class at 12 o'clock,  so we used those 4 hours to improve the work done before in the "Diseinua" project (only if it was necessary) and also, to carry on with the handling of the manufacturing of the progressive die in which we'll be still working on our return to class in January.
