MY COURSE
IKER LÓPEZ
The course we are studying is known as an advanced degree in design of mechanical manufacture.
The course
takes place in San Jose Maristak from Durango.
The
requirements needed to be able to follow the course properly would be these:
Being able
to learn how to use different digital design programmes, such as SOLIDWORKS (3D
design programme), AutoCad (2D design programme) or CATIA V5 (3D design
programme). SOLIDWORKS and AutoCad are only taught in the first year. On the contrary, CATIA V5 is exclusively learned in the second course, so It is the programme we are learning how to use now.
Apart from
that, some basic knowledge about physics and mathematics would be also very
helpful in some of the subjects.
Finally,
being able to get on with lots of handmade plans and drawings would be very
important.

The subjects that we have to study are mold design for polymers, mold design and foundry models,
Business and Entrepreneurship, technical English and design of sheet metal processing and stamping.
Our goals in this course is to be able to design
a die and the strip, in the strip we have to analyse
sheet metal saving,
how to collocate the pieces, how to collocate the centrings… but the goals of 2ºCMM
is to mechanize and mount what we design.
In this course, we have the teaching methodology named
ETHAZI, which consist in a new learning methodology based on challenges in
which the student of each training cycle, apart of the technical competencies
that the must obtain, achieves other transversal competencies, always in
relation to his future work (teamwork, communication, involvement, initiative, responsibility…)

The teachers have some tools to evaluate

ACE & HAZE, during this course, is
going to do a die, who have to do a specific piece. To do this die, for example, we are going to do some planes and investigate a lot of materials.

We are going to use the design software CATIA V5, some Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) a lot of materials,
but we didn´t know which materials.

The only skill that you need to follow the course is a good attitude and want to work. I think that if you do that two things you have to take the course well. And as I said, having a good attitude and having a working attitude are the best that can come to the group to advance the challenge.

What I want to get with completing this challenge is to learn to work in a team. We still have to learn to work as a team, but soon we will continue to work as one.

The final product of the course will be a die that will be manufactured by the middle grade.
