Fourteenth Week (20/01/20 - 24/01/20)

MONDAY - ALAIN PACHECO

We started the day with Julen. We started the drawing of the individual melting base and we finished with that at 10.

After the first break, we continued with the melting base design, doing the sprues and doing the circuit to introduce the molten metal to do the melting base.

At 11.30, we did a Kahoot with Nagore about melting. We did three and one of those we won.

After the second break, many people from the class did the English presentation about dual, robots, electric cars, etc….

TUESDAY - OIER ZABALA

On Tuesday we started the day with Gaizka, someone’s we asked him to give a hand with the recovery die. Gaizka explained us instead of using the ‘body resta’ of the awl that would be better to use ‘postizos’, consists in using treated small pieces where the awl cuts, like this the die just suffer in this piece instead of the whole plate.

After that we had class with Nagore, we done some kahoots to know how much we know about foundry. Then we continued with the challenge and with the recovery die.

WEDNESDAY - ANDONI MIGUEL

We started Wendsday working on the design of the die base with Gaizka, and what we had had to do that day was inserting the 4 plaques of the die to our design.

We continue working with CATIA V5 and an other new program that  simulates the filling of foundry objects. until the middle of the second hour when suddenly Gaizka remembered we had to move to the main room to give us a talk about empresas de Euskadi

When the talk got over, we came back to class and we continue working in our main project until 2 o'clock, even though we should have had class with Nagore the last two hours.

THURSDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

We were given a talk about the different job profiles in the second hour of the day. He was an employee of a company called AL-KO. This company is located in Abadiño, and they manufacture different types of pieces used in automotive.

Then, when the talk got over and we had a rest, we continue working on the main project. That day, we focused on making some changes to the 3D design and on putting together the press, the melting base and the die, which was the work we would have to hand in on Friday.

Simultaneously, we also had time to continue working on the business documents that had to be handed in on Friday too.

FRIDAY - IKER LÓPEZ

Things didn't change so much on Friday. We spent most of the day finishing to complete the business documents, so we didn't have time enough to start working on other things such as the report, or maybe updating the 3D design.

While some teammates were working on the business documents, others were giving their bests trying to finish their CATIA V5 recovery work that would have to hand in the next week.

Al this means that next week we will have to work a lot if we want to make a good job in this second challenge.
